Dennis Mortimer spent his early working life as a tradesman and labourer to provide the means to support his artistic passion and talent. Dennis received his Art Certificate from Moss Vale College of TAFE in 1991 and received his Bachelor of Visual Arts from Canberra School of Arts - ANU ITA in 1997. Dennis has broad experience as an art coordinator and curator, including overseas experience at the Glasgow School of Art.

Dennis, a Freelance Visual Artist, co founder of The Artists Shed in Queanbeyan NSW and it is here he devotes his time as a resident artist, gallery curator and art tutor. Dennis was the co-winner of the Goulburn Art prize in 2006.
